~Final Donna Salazar DT Post and Tutorial~

Hi Everyone!!  I’m back with one more project!!  I also wanted to use this post to say goodbye to Donna's Team L

I had to cut my final term with Donna short, due to my personal life being so crazy busy right now.  I have enjoyed being on Donna’s team for close to three years as a guest designer and then a regular designer.  It was so fun and these girls have all been amazing!! They are super talented and inspirational!!  I will miss working with all of them!!

For my last little project, I made a flower, which I don’t do very often.  This particular flower can be used for many different kinds of projects.  I made a larger one for my daughters hair and I downsized another one just a little to do a tutorial on it.  My daughter calls these her Loopsy Flower, so that’s what I called it too.
You will need eight 1/2"x4" strips of your favorite paper.  (For the larger flower, like the one I made for Brooky, use twelve 1/2"x6" strips of paper)

Distress and Ink your edges.
Fold your paper in half and glue.  I used little glue dots for mine.
Next fold another piece and overlap the first loop as shown below.  About a 1/2" overlapped.
Continue around the flower as shown in the next few photos.

Next you can decorate the middle however you like and you are all done.
Here are a couple more shots of her with the flower I did for her.  I just used a couple bobby pins to fasten it to her hair.

Thanks for stopping and thank you so much for all the wonderful comments you have all left me over the past few seasons!! Below is a list of items I used for this flower!!

GCD Studios Fun and Funky

Mix'd Media Chox Inx - Petals

~October Scraps of Darkness Gothic Kit~

I'm back with a few small projects I did with the Scraps of Darkness Gothic kit from October.  These items will be my last SOD DT items for the next couple of months.  I decided to take a break over the holidays and come back in January.  I will still be posting things on my blog and I am still DTing for Donna Salazar, so please don't think I'm giving up on scrapping lol!!

This first item is a paper pumpkin I made.  These really are pretty easy.  I just grabbed a 12x12 sheet of patterned paper and cut the whole into 1/2"x12" strips.  Then I made them into circles overlapping the edges about a 1/2" and stapling them.  I tied them all together with some ribbon and fanned them out.  Then I decorated the center.
 Little card I made.
Then I also created a little tag as well.
Thanks for stopping by and God bless you all!!!

~New Stencils Donna Salazar Designs~

Hi Everyone!! I'm back with a quick how to on using these awesome stencils by Want 2 Scrap.  You can do all sorts of creative things with these stencils, but one of my favorite things to do is make a raised texture with them.  I used the full sheet of large arrows for this one to create a sky effect.
You will need the paper from Fun and Funky called Fun Clouds
Smooch Spritz in Sea Breeze
Gesso and a Sponge
Want 2 Scrap Stencil Large Arrows

Spray closer to the paper to get the starburst look and go down at an angle.
I love this sponge and I need to get some more, but I use these for stencils.
For this I used gesso and used a heavy coat.
These stencils have a protective coating that you need to tear off each side, however, I didn't know if you would be able to see if well enough, so I left it on for the pictures.
Hold the stencil in place and pat straight down and follow the direction of the spritz.
 This is the finished product.
Some close ups!
